Brendan Horan is a chartered accountant who has served as Managing Director of MiX Telematics Africa since June 2014, when the firm’s fleet and consumer businesses on the continent were merged into one business.

In this conversation, Brendan chats to me about how his company harnesses a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) business model to deliver solutions to customers in more than 120 countries around the world, how the AI and machine learning trend is impacting the company’s strategy, and how he deals with the challenge of managing growth of the firm’s African business in hugely varied markets across the continent.
